Dynamic Devon certainly was dynamic! Our group of participants travelled from Leicester, Birmingham and London to take part and were a great team.
Nothing fazed this lot! The high wires - which to me seemed alarmingly high up in the trees; were embarked upon with great alacrity as was the archery, in which we appeared to acquire a star archer! Once in the canoes it wasn’t long before more than one of the team was in the River Dart but it was all part of the fun while gaining canoeing skills. Caving, zip wire, raft building and rock climbing all brought out the best in these young people as they had a go for the first time.
I was pleased how much they loved the scenery of the green rolling hills around Dartington Hall and the birds - particularly owls. One young man has vowed to return there to live! We’ll have to see, but how good it was to see them all having such a good time while building up confidence and relaxing.
Thanks to Dynamic Adventures who were fantastic and to our volunteer Janet and outdoor instructors Emma and James who really put themselves out to make the first Under the Sky event a great success.
